In a unanimous 404-0 vote, the House just passed the Hezbollah International Financing Prevention Act of 2014, which would implement strong sanctions on the Iran-backed terrorist organization Hezbollah by restricting its access to the global financial system.

Sponsored by Mark Meadows–R (NC), the bill had 319 co-sponsors.

The bill must now clear the Senate before heading to the President’s desk. It is uncertain whether President Obama would sign such a bill.
