Controversial US Department of Homeland Security Advisor Mohamed Elibiary is on record as defending a man convicted in the largest terrorism financing prosecution in US history, the US v the Holy Land Foundation.

Holy Land Foundation president and CEO Shukri Abu Baker, along with 4 other defendants, was convicted of using the Holy Land Foundation charity to finance Hamas, an officially designated foreign terrorist organization, back in 2008.

Elibiary is on record as admitting to having a long association with Baker and claiming he was the subject of persecution. Elibiary, who has access to classified information, also has described the Muslim Brotherhood, the grandadddy of all Islamic Sunni Jihadist terrorist organizations, as being similar to US evangelical organizations.

That this guy could even get a security clearance, much less been appointed to a DHS advisory board, is an outrage.
