Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s poetry on TV nightly during Ramadan, probably better in the AM so you can fast, after being sick to your stomach!

DUBAI — If you are a poetry lover and admire the poems written by His Highness Shaikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, tune into Dubai TV at midnight each day during the Holy month of Ramadan. 

Dubai TV began  telecasting ‘Struggle on the Sands’, a TV series based on the poems of Shaikh Mohammed on Monday night.

The 30-episode series is said to be the biggest drama production depicting the lives of tribes ever, costing over $6 million.

It is about two Arab tribes that lived in the Arabian peninsula in the 18th century during the Ottoman invasion. The latest technology and Spanish experts were roped in to recreate the battle scenes.
