Turkey`s religious affairs authority is set to establish a Turkish-Islamic
studies center in Washington, D.C., the U.S. to promote Turkey`s “unique
experience of Islamic culture,” country`s highest Muslim cleric said
Thursday.

“This is going to be the opening of a new and a promising era, a project to
establish a Turkish-Islamic Culture and studies center,” Ali Bardakoglu,
head of Turkish Religious Affairs Directorate, told reporters in Washington,
D.C..

“And it is a priority for us to explain to the American society Turkey`s
unique experience of peaceful co-existing of different religions and its
contemporary vision in religious services,” Bardakoglu said.
