The famous French industrial designer will be producing the interior designs for the G Tower, a 45 storey tower which is set for completion in 2010, being developed in the City of Arabia district.

The project is being developed by Galadari Investment Office (GIO). Architect Alex Vacha and consultants P&T Group have worked on the exterior of the tower.

Interior design company Yoo – a collaboration between Starck and John Hitchcox – will execute the design work. Having designed everything from motorcycles to lemon squeezers in his career, Starck says he will bring the same qualities of design to the building.

“As for the interior architecture and design of G Tower, it involved the same principles I carry throughout all my creations: it is a matter of blossoming of life,” said Starck.

“I create spaces where my cultural tribe can gather and meet up thanks to clever and intimate public spaces. It shall encourage energy flow that creates a real living environment.

“I have also developed new and modern floor planning to enhance all forms of life for singles and couples to families. It is just a matter of elegance of intelligence – the building shall reflect the beauty of the people who will live in it,” Starck added.
