Not long ago, a web site called Favstocks.com ran a story in which it labeled Shariah-Compliant Finance as “socially responsible.” SFW pointed out the flaws in their poorly researched fluff piece:

Now Favstocks.com has gotten it wrong again, this time with another fluff piece on zakat, the mandatory system of tithing in Islam which mandates funding those “fighting in the way of allah.”  There is no mention of any of the concerns over the destination of zakat funds in the latest fluff piece from Favstocks.com. Soon they may become an official shill for Shariah…
