CNN has published a piece on Islamic finance.

It may as well be a marketing brochure.

This article is so irresponsibly written that you won’t even find the term shariah anywhere in the article, despite the fact that shariah is the doctrine underpinning Islamic finance and despite the fact that it is shariah scholars who make the important decisions in Islamic finance.

Of course, if CNN went into shariah, it might have to address the broader issue of shariah being a barbaric code.

And if CNN mentioned shariah scholars, they might have to mention hateful Jihadists such as Yusef al Qaradawi and Taqi Usmani, who are two of the most influential shariah scholars in the world.

On top of all this, they still conveniently forgot to mention that the world leader in Islamic finance is none other than Iran…so much for “ethical” investing…
