As we start the second year of the Shariah Finance Watch website, the Center for Security Policy wishes to thank our readers and researchers for making this a useful public resource documenting the serious risks of Shariah Compliant Finance and Shariah Law.
Although the two generous grants that have supported Allyson Taylor’s work for the blog are now ending, CSP is committed to continuing – indeed, expanding – the Shariah Finance Watch content and analysis in 2009. Our legal and legislative analysis team’s work will be integrated into the Shariah Finance Watch website by January 2009.

We face challenging times, as many European and U.S. government agencies are planning in 2009 to establish Shariah Compliant Finance as a standard in the newly nationalized financial institutions resulting from the financial crises of 2008.
