The Council on American Islamic Relations (CAIR) issued a press release late yesterday calling on U.S. leaders to address what the organization says is “growing Islamophobia” in the U.S.

At the end of the release, CAIR lists a host of links to several alleged instances of “Islamophobia,” as well as a bunch of other links to  everything from previous CAIR releases to Obama Justice Department decrees.

We note that CAIR has said nothing about the Jihadist who killed two U.S. soldiers outside of a Little Rock, Arkansas recruiting center. Moreover, CAIR seems determined to convince the world that the apprehension of the Jihadists in the Bronx plot uncovered in June is a case of FBI Islamophobia, largely because the FBI informant used in the case wasn’t as pure as the wind driven snow. (We have news for CAIR: informants are usually bad guys; that’s how they get to be informants in the first place.)

CAIR is particularly angry at the FBI because the G-men jilted them as a consultant to the FBI on Islamic outreach after CAIR was found to be up to its ears with the Holy Land Foundation, a charity that was funneling money to terrorist organizations.

In fact, CAIR was named an un-indicted co-conspirator in that successful prosecution, which was the largest terrorism financing trial in U.S. history.

In the course of that trial, it was also revealed that CAIR is in fact a Muslim Brotherhood affiliate. The Muslim Brotherhood is the original Jihadist organization and gave rise to HAMAS and Egyptian Islamic Jihad, among others.

For this reason, we hope (though we’re not holding our breath) that the members of the news media will view any release by CAIR with a high degree of skepticism.

Here is a link to their press release (it was on the Fox Business web site, which is where it caught our eye):
